Now you can share immersive music snippets in your Stories and let your Notes reflect the song you're vibing with in real time. Audio Previews in Stories

Before, sharing a Spotify song to your Story only displayed album art and a link. Not anymore. Now Instagram embeds a short audio preview directly in your Story that plays automatically.
Tap the music sticker to open the track on Spotify, or tap the song title to land on Instagram's audio page, where you can explore Reels using that track or save it to your Liked Songs.

Real-Time Music in Notes

Instagram Notes, those small updates above your DMs, can now show what you’re currently listening to on Spotify. Link your account, and your notes update automatically with your playing track. If you’re not listening yet, it’ll sync with the next song you play within 30 minutes. Friends can respond or add the track directly to their Liked Songs.

  • Play a song on Spotify.
  • Tap Share > Instagram Stories.

  • Viewers can tap to open the full song or explore Reels.
• For Notes:
  • In Instagram, go to DMs and tap to create a Note.
  • Tap the music icon, then “Share from Spotify”.
  • Link your Spotify once.
  • If music's playing, it shows immediately; otherwise, syncs with up to your next track within 30 minutes.
