| 18+ only. Both apps carry a Google Play content rating of “Rated for 18+” with a Users Interact label, and both state in their terms that under-18s may not use them. Neither is suitable for minors. |
SHORT ANSWER Mirami is the working product. Its own users are the reason to hesitate. Mirami has over a million installs, a named company behind it, and a published per-minute price. It also holds 3.6 stars from roughly 5,290 Google Play reviews, and the most-upvoted of those reviews are about money that went missing and prices users called too high. Pink Video Chat has 25 ratings, about 1,000 installs, and not a single written review on its Play listing. There is no user evidence to evaluate, in either direction. For actually connecting to someone, Mirami wins by default. Whether it is worth roughly a dollar a minute is a separate question, and its reviewers largely say no. |
Almost no article about these apps mentions this, and it changes the whole comparison. The name maps to at least four separate things:
| Pink Video Chat: 1v1 Live Chat | Google Play package com.pinkvideochat, published by Aydin Inc. Around 1,000 installs, 25 ratings, last updated 20 July 2026. GOOGLE PLAY LISTING, CHECKED 10 AUGUST 2026 |
| Pink Video Chat: 18+ Live Chat | A separate app by Ritmo Tech, removed from Google Play on 25 August 2024. It held 3.2 stars from 30 ratings and its last version was 1.3. APPBRAIN ARCHIVE RECORD |
| Pink, chat and call | Package com.pink.chatpink by “ccapp team”, reported at 5,000,000+ downloads. A different app with a similar name. APPBRAIN |
| pinkvideochat.com | A browser-based service with its own marketing pages, which is what most review articles appear to actually describe. PUBLISHER WEBSITE |
Mirami has no such ambiguity. It is one app, package app.mirami.chat, published under one company, with one set of numbers. Throughout this article “Pink Video Chat” means the Google Play app of that exact name, since it is the only version whose data can be independently confirmed.

Read directly from the Google Play listings on 10 August 2026. Install counts are Google's banded estimates, and ratings change daily.
The ratings are not comparable. Pink's 4.2 rests on 25 ratings against Mirami's roughly 5,290. At that sample size a handful of scores moves the average by half a star, and new apps skew positive before ordinary users arrive. The higher number is not evidence of a better product. The install gap is the meaningful figure: over a million people against about a thousand. In a random chat app, the live user population is the product. |
These are actual reviews from the Google Play listing and Trustpilot, with their dates and, where shown, how many people marked them helpful. Mirami's developer replies to reviews publicly, so those responses are included too.
1 STAR Daipayan Ghosh 16 JULY 2022 Reports buying a 15 minute video chat package. The money was debited but the purchase never appeared on the account, and support had not responded at the time of writing. Describes performance as “very poor”. Developer reply, 31 August 2022: directs the user to the support email address and says they will try to solve the problem. The reply came roughly six weeks after the review. 144 PEOPLE MARKED THIS HELPFUL |
1 STAR Roli Ka 24 JANUARY 2023 Advises against downloading the app, criticising support, performance and quality, and singling out its “credibility” as the worst part. Developer reply, 6 February 2023: invites the user to contact support if they have technical problems, without addressing the credibility complaint. 64 PEOPLE MARKED THIS HELPFUL |
MIXED Uzumakii Faraz 25 MARCH 2024 Calls it a good app for chatting, then says the prices are very high, asks for daily tasks to earn currency, and requests free coins in order to try the app properly. Developer reply, 25 June 2024: thanks the user and says daily tasks may be added in future. Three months elapsed before the reply. 35 PEOPLE MARKED THIS HELPFUL |
A third-party summary of the wider Mirami review set describes the same recurring themes: a paywall that requires buying coins to continue, free access limited to roughly one call a day, and a payment model that a portion of reviewers find untrustworthy.
The dataset here is tiny and should be read as anecdote, not statistics. mirami.chat holds 3.2 out of 5 from just 2 reviews, split evenly between one three-star and one one-star rating. The visible one-star review, posted 22 February 2024 by a reviewer in South Africa, is headlined “Don't invest money in this platform.”
| No written reviews are displayed on the listing. The app has 25 ratings and a 4.2 average, but no user has left review text. |
This is not a criticism of the app so much as a statement of fact: there is nothing to read. Anyone claiming to summarise what Pink Video Chat users think is not working from the Play listing, because that evidence does not exist yet.
This is the sharpest difference between the two, and the thing Mirami's reviewers complain about most.
| 30 seconds | Mirami's terms describe one free video chat per day, capped at 30 seconds. Enough to confirm a real person is there, not enough to evaluate anything. MIRAMI TERMS OF SERVICE, AS REPORTED BY REVIEWERS |
| 28 diamonds | The stated per-minute rate for video chat past the free limit, and the same rate again for direct calls. MIRAMI TERMS OF SERVICE, AS REPORTED |
| $2.99 / 55 diamonds | One reported entry-level bundle. At 28 diamonds a minute, that buys under two minutes of video. SECONDARY REVIEW CITING MIRAMI'S PRICING PAGE, 2025 |
| $0.80 to $1.50 | The effective real-money cost per minute that independent reviewers converge on, varying by region and bundle size. MULTIPLE SECONDARY REVIEWS, 2026 |
| No IAP label | Pink's Play listing carries no In-App Purchases badge, which suggests no store-billed monetisation at present. GOOGLE PLAY LISTING, 10 AUGUST 2026 |
At the middle of that range a fifteen minute conversation costs around fifteen dollars. That figure matters because the highest-voted negative review on the listing is about a fifteen minute package specifically.
Why the currency layer matters. Buying diamonds first and spending them later separates the payment from the purchase. You feel the cost once, at top-up, then not again while the meter runs. Mirami's own reviewers describe exactly this effect when they call the prices high while still rating the chat itself positively. The defence is dull but effective: decide a total before topping up, buy exactly that, and treat a second top-up in the same session as a hard no. |
Pink appears free right now, which is a genuine point in its favour. Note that its billing status is unproven rather than guaranteed: an app with no purchase history and no reviews has not yet been tested by anyone at scale.

The core promise in Mirami's own store description is that men are never matched with men, and that all the women are real and verified. Around that sit automatic message translation in both directions, virtual gifts, a browsable catalogue of hosts, a friends list, call history so you can call someone back, and paid direct calls at the same per-minute rate.
Functionally this is closer to a paid companionship service than to free chat roulette, even though it markets itself as an Omegle alternative. Independent reviewers note that the platform does not publicly clarify whether the women are ordinary users or paid hosts, and that the pricing structure rewards host-style behaviour either way. Some reviewers report conversations that felt scripted or performative.

The Play listing describes a stripped-back one-to-one video chat: open, tap, connect. No stated gender filter, no translation, no gifting, no catalogue. The description is also heavily keyword-repetitive, cycling through “pink video chat”, “pink chat” and “pink video call app”, which reads as written for search rankings rather than for users.
The app is version 1.0.2 at around 10 MB and requests 34 permissions according to third-party tracking. With roughly a thousand installs, the practical question is whether enough people are online to match you at all. Neither app publishes concurrent user numbers.
Neither platform publishes a transparency report, moderation statistics or an independent audit. What can be checked is what each declares and what automated trust checkers return.
| Mirami data | Declares collection of personal info, photos and videos plus three further categories, no sharing with third parties, encryption in transit, and deletion on request. GOOGLE PLAY DATA SAFETY SECTION |
| Pink data | Declares no data collected and none shared. For an app transmitting live video, treat that as a self-report rather than reassurance. Google does not verify these declarations. GOOGLE PLAY DATA SAFETY SECTION |
| Scam Detector | Gives mirami.chat 64.5, a medium-risk score, and concludes the site is likely safe. This is an algorithmic score, not a human review. SCAM DETECTOR VALIDATOR |
| ScamDoc | Rates mirami.chat around 76 percent, “average”. Positive marks for domain age and HTTPS, negative for hidden Whois ownership details. SCAMDOC REPORT |
| Mirami support | A support email, a company address and a phone number are published, and the developer visibly replies to Play reviews, though observed reply times run to weeks or months. GOOGLE PLAY LISTING AND REVIEW TIMESTAMPS |
| Pink support | A personal Gmail address, with no company entity, address or phone number listed. GOOGLE PLAY LISTING |
Mirami's privacy policy also warns that personally identifying information users post can become visible to and disclosed by other users. That is the practical risk on any live video platform: whatever appears on your camera can be recorded by the person on the other end, regardless of what either company declares.
Search either name and you will find dozens of confident reviews. Most sit on sites that run competing chat platforms or take affiliate commission in the category. Here is what happens when their specific claims are checked against the store listings:
| “4.2 from 4,000+” | Claimed for Mirami. The listing shows 3.6 from roughly 5,290 reviews. Both halves of the claim are wrong. COMPARED AGAINST GOOGLE PLAY, 10 AUGUST 2026 |
| “4.4 stars” | Claimed for Pink Video Chat across app stores. The Play app of that name shows 4.2 from 25 ratings, and the delisted namesake showed 3.2 from 30. COMPARED AGAINST GOOGLE PLAY AND APPBRAIN |
| “93% of reviewers” | A precise-sounding statistic for Pink with no published methodology, sample or source anywhere in the coverage that repeats it. UNSOURCED IN THE ARTICLES CARRYING IT |
| “Hundreds of thousands” | Claimed as Pink Video Chat's user base. Google Play shows the 1,000+ install band. GOOGLE PLAY LISTING |
| “Over 10,000 users” | Listed for Mirami in a business directory profile, against a Play listing showing more than a million installs. Even the flattering figures disagree with each other. BUSINESS DIRECTORY ENTRY VS GOOGLE PLAY |
None of this proves either app is bad. It means the enthusiasm around them is manufactured and should be discounted entirely. The four things worth checking yourself are all free: the developer identity on the listing, the in-app purchase label, the free allowance and per-minute rate in the terms, and what the one-star reviews complain about.
CHOOSE MIRAMI IF It has to work now, and the meter is acceptable Matching with women specifically is the point, not a happy accident Connecting instantly matters at 2am as much as at 2pm The conversation will cross a language barrier Roughly a dollar a minute fits inside a budget that gets stuck to Recourse matters: registered company, published address, working phone number | CHOOSE PINK IF Free and simple beats busy, and emptiness is survivable Paying anything is off the table A stripped-back screen beats coins, gifts and catalogues Slow or absent matches are a fair trade for costing nothing This is a trial of the category, not the start of a habit An app with zero written reviews is not a dealbreaker |
On the single criterion that matters first, whether it connects you to a person, Mirami wins and it is not close. A million installs against a thousand settles that.
But winning this comparison is a low bar. Mirami's 3.6 average across roughly 5,290 reviews means a lot of paying users came away unhappy, and its most-upvoted reviews are about a purchase that did not arrive and prices reviewers called too high. Pink is not yet an alternative, it is a new listing with a well-optimised name and no track record in either direction.
One practical note for anyone who does try Mirami: that 30 second free chat is the whole evaluation window, so set a hard ceiling before buying diamonds and pay through the store, where a refund process at least exists. Pink costs nothing to test, which makes an empty room the only real risk.
